Open Question: cute shorter haircut?

i have dirty blond hair, blue eyes, pretty skinny, pretty tan, my hair goes down to my back (like ashley tisdale's) i curl it. i want to get a little longer than a bob. Any ideas? my boyfriend doesnt want me to cut it but its summer and my long hair gets in the way for sports (i do gymnastics, swim, and soccer) what should i tell him?
